In the midst of all this, I stumbled against the ‘Water’s Edge’ web site.  I saw the healing prayer (Matthew 14:25-36).  That evening, I sat in my bedroom and prayed this prayer.  As I imagined myself in the boat, in a stormy sea and Jesus walking on the water,

I reached out to him and asked him to hold me and take me to the shore.  I told him that I want to go with him, wherever He leads me, to do whatever He wanted me to do.  As I prayed this prayer, tears came out of my eyes but a strange peace descended on me.  Peace knowing that He will lead me to a place of safety and joy; that He will give me contentment wherever it may be.  The next day when I visited the doctor, he was amazed to find that my blood pressure had come down.
